The recipe that I’m going to share today with you is a game-saver for me. Always when we are inviting our friends for a movie night, I am always asked to make these sweet chili wings.
For this recipe, I used a homemade sweet chilli sauce that I shared with you earlier, but you can use your favorite sauce that you are using usually.
If you are going to prepare these wings for a party or for just a family dinner, you can’t get wrong with these sweet chili-glazed chicken wings.
You will get amazed by how easy this recipe is and what result you will get in the end. This recipe is a must to have in your recipe book.
Honey and chicken is actually a fantastic combination. It gives the meat a rich taste.
This dish will make you the queen (or the king) of the party. Everybody is going to love these glazed wings.
I would advise you to prepare a slightly larger amount than you planned in the beginning because they are always eaten all from the plate. And probably remember to put paper napkins everywhere. These chicken wings will make you lick your fingers, even if you are the most well-mannered person.
My mouth is watering just from thinking about them.

Needed Ingredients:
- 2.2lb (1 kg.) of Chicken wings
- 3 tablespoons of ketchup
- 3 tablespoons of sweet chili sauce
- 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
- 3-4 garlic cloves
- Salt and pepper to taste.
👩🍳 Step-by-step Directions
Clean well the chicken wings and cut the wings tip ( the thinnest part ). Put all of them into a bowl, and let’s start to make the marinade.
Then, pour over all the ingredients for the marinade: ketchup, soy sauce, sweet chili sauce, chopped garlic cloves, salt & pepper to taste.
Mix well all the ingredients and make sure that the chicken wings are covered well with the marinade. Leave them to marinate for at least 30 minutes.
Quick Note: If you have some time, leave the meat to marinate for at least 1-2 hours, the result will be even more delicious.
Cover the pan with baking paper and put over all the chicken wings. Don’t hurry to toss the remaining marinade from the bowl. We will need it later to glaze the chicken wings once more.
Now, put the wings into the oven at 350°F (180°C) for about 35 minutes.
After that, glaze them again with the marinade that remained in the bowl earlier.
Quick Note: If you want, at this step, you can add also sesame seeds over the chicken wings.
Return them back into the oven for another 5-10 minutes.

Should I use fresh or frozen chicken wings?
You can use either fresh or frozen chicken wings, but make sure to thaw the wings completely before cooking. Fresh chicken wings are usually more tender and have better texture, while frozen wings can be more convenient and cost-effective.

You can prepare the chicken wings and the sweet chili glaze ahead of time. Keep them separate until ready to cook. Brush the glaze onto the wings during the last few minutes of cooking to prevent them from becoming soggy. You can also reheat the chicken wings in the oven or a toaster oven for a few minutes before serving.

- Put the pan for about ly 35 minutes in the preheated oven at 350°F (180°C).
- After that, glaze the chicken wings again with the marinate that remained in the bowl earlier.
- Return them back into the oven for another 5-10 minutes.
