Scottish Mince and Tatties

Traditional Scottish mince and Tatties is a family midweek meal that consists of tender minced beef with carrots, onions, and green peas served near creamy mashed potatoes.


Cut the potatoes into cubes and boil them.

Chop the onions and cook them for 2 min.

Add the meat over and cook it for 10 minutes.

Add vegetables and all-purpose flour.

Mix well and cook for another 5 minutes.

Add the Worcestershire sauce and the vegetable broth. Mix well and cook for 30 min.

When the potatoes are ready, add the butter into the pan.

Grind the potatoes and adjust the salt to your taste. If you prefer a softer consistency, add a little milk.

Mix everything well and our easy and delicious puree is ready to be served

Serve the meat sauce over the puree. For extra freshness, add chopped parsley.
