Slice the onions and garlic and fry them in melted butter in a frying pan.
1 tablespoon Butter, 1 Onion, 1 clove Garlic
Cut the beef into long thin strips and add the beef strips over the sauteed onions and garlic.

Season with salt, and black pepper. Add the flour and mix well. Cook everything on medium to low heat for 7-8 minutes.
½ teaspoon Salt, ¼ teaspoon Black Pepper, 1 tablespoon All-purpose flour
Add the sour cream and mustard. Mix and cook for another 10 minutes.

Pick a beef cut that cooks quickly. A few recommendations will be beef tenderloin, filet mignon, boneless ribeye steak, or top sirloin.
