Easy and quick homemade shredded hash browns in an air fryer made from scratch. Make your own healthy hashbrowns for breakfast and serve them with sour cream.

- 1.5 lb Potatoes
- 1 Piece Onion
- 1 Piece Egg Medium
- ⅓ Cup All-purpose Flour
- 1 teaspoon Salt or to taste
- 2 tablespoon Olive Oil
- 2 tablespoon Sour Cream
Peel the potatoes and onions and grate them.
1.5 lb Potatoes, 1 Piece Onion
Over potatoes, pour flour, egg, oil and spices. Mix well all the ingredients.
1 Piece Egg, ⅓ Cup All-purpose Flour, 1 teaspoon Salt
Preheat the air fryer to 300°F / 150°C. In the meantime form the hash brown patties.
Arrange the hash browns in the air fryer basket, sprinkle them with oil and cook the hashbrowns at 300°F / 150°C for about 40 minutes.
2 tablespoon Olive Oil
Serves the hash brown patties with a sauce based on sour cream, yogurt or tomatoes.
2 tablespoon Sour Cream
- If you want the hash browns to keep their shape, use potatoes with a high starch content like are Russets or Idahos potatoes.
- Do not overload the air fryer basket. Leave space between the patties.
- If you want a better result, opt for a lower temperature and a longer baking time.
